Agreement and eligibility
By using WatEats, you agree to these terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy. You must use a valid University of Waterloo email address, provide accurate information, and be legally able to enter this agreement. You are responsible for activity on your account.
What WatEats provides
WatEats helps Waterloo students post food-related requests or offers and coordinate with one another. WatEats is a coordination platform: it is not a restaurant, delivery service, payment processor, employer, or agent of any user. Users make their own arrangements and are responsible for food, payment, pickup, and personal safety decisions.
Acceptable use
You may not use WatEats to break the law; harass, threaten, deceive, or discriminate against anyone; post unsafe, misleading, infringing, or inappropriate content; spam users; interfere with the service; evade restrictions; or access another person’s account. Do not share sensitive personal or payment information in chat.
Listings, exchanges, and content
You are responsible for your listings, messages, and conduct. Keep listing details accurate and promptly cancel anything no longer available. Any payment or reimbursement is arranged directly between users. You keep ownership of content you submit, while giving WatEats permission to host, display, and process it only as needed to operate, secure, and improve the service and handle reports.
Safety, moderation, and accounts
Use good judgment when meeting others, choose public campus locations, and report concerning behaviour. We may review reports, remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, or end access when reasonably necessary to protect users, enforce these terms, or comply with law. We do not guarantee that users, listings, food, or exchanges are safe, accurate, available, or reliable.
Service availability and liability
WatEats is provided “as is” and may change, experience interruptions, or be discontinued. To the fullest extent permitted by law, WatEats and its operator are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for user conduct, food quality or safety, payments, missed exchanges, or losses arising from arrangements between users. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded.
Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the service changes. Continued use after updated terms take effect means you accept them. Questions, concerns, and data-deletion requests can be sent to ahamed@ahamedwajibu.com.
